In the fall of 2013 I decided to spend anti-spyware analysis and at the same time check your computer for the presence of spies, Trojans and clean it of any malware.

The purpose of this article review is full-fledged programs that can be installed on your computer to improve security and fight Trojans and other spyware.

To identify the main players in the anti-spyware software market, I suggest looking at the programs that are most often downloaded, and then reviewing the effectiveness and quality of their work, as in the article about.

What wasn't tested and why

It is worth noting that the Spybot Search & Destroy program, once very popular and effective, is now beginning to lose its position. And although you may have noticed that it is in 2nd place in terms of downloads in the world, according to user reviews, it catches fewer and fewer spies. I was not able to test it, because... After installation, it refused to start scanning.

Dr.Web has also not been tested, because... is just a utility, albeit a very good one. Dr.Web will save you when neither the antivirus nor the Internet starts due to a spyware virus. However, in the review I included only anti-spyware programs that can be installed as an addition to antivirus protection.
So, I chose the following programs for testing:
